PRESS KIT

Everything you need to write about the championship: the logo in every background treatment, the colours it is built from, and a boilerplate paragraph you can paste as it stands. All of it is free to use in editorial coverage — no permission to ask for, no approval to wait on.

THE LOGO

The mark and the wordmark together. This is the default — use it wherever there is room for it.

SEO Championship logo — full colour
FULL COLOUR

Transparent. The default — for near-black and other dark surfaces.

ON DARK

Our own #07070c baked in, for places that need it opaque.

WHITE

Transparent. One colour, for photographs and busy backgrounds.

BLACK

Transparent. Print, one-colour reproduction, anything on white.

SEO Championship logo — on light
ON LIGHT

Black on white, baked in. Use this rather than the colour one on paper.

THE MARK ALONE

Two sides colliding, a bolt at impact. For avatars, favicons, app tiles, and anywhere the full lockup would be too small to read.

THE COLOURS

Three neons on near-black. Cyan and magenta are the two sides of a match and mean nothing else — they are never good and bad — and acid is the brand and the live indicator. Hex values are exact; please don't sample them off a screenshot.

ACID

The brand, the bolt, and anything genuinely live.

ELECTRIC CYAN

Side A in every match. Never a status colour.

HOT MAGENTA

Side B in every match. Never a status colour.

BASE

The surface everything is drawn on. The site is dark-only.

PANEL

Cells and cards, one step up from the base.

INK

Type on dark. The first half of the wordmark.

USING IT

The short version: don't redraw it, and don't put it somewhere it can't be read.

PLEASE DO

  • Keep clear space around the logo of at least the width of the bolt.
  • Use the full-colour logo on dark surfaces — that is what it was drawn for.
  • On white or in print, use the black one-colour version instead.
  • Scale the SVG for anything above 200 px wide; the PNGs are for tools that cannot take vectors.
  • Write the name as “SEO Championship”, two words, in running text.

PLEASE DON’T

  • Don’t recolour the mark, or swap cyan and magenta — the two sides of a match are those two colours everywhere.
  • Don’t put the full-colour logo on white: acid green on white is unreadable, and we publish a black one for exactly that.
  • Don’t stretch, rotate, or split the bolt from the chevrons.
  • Don’t typeset the name yourself — use the supplied lockup.
  • Don’t use the logo to suggest a site was endorsed, entered, or ranked by us when it wasn’t.

THE BOILERPLATE

Paste this into an article or a release unchanged. It is written to be quoted.

SEO Championship is a weekly knockout tournament between websites. Sixteen sites are drawn into a bracket and play a straight knockout over one weekend, and every match is decided by measurements taken from the sites themselves — a best-of-seven of metric duels, one measurement against the same measurement, with the deck for each round drawn from a public seed. The field is frozen and published with a SHA-256 hash before a single card is drawn, so any result can be replayed from the same numbers. It is watchable from start to finish like a match rather than read like a report.
