WHAT THIS IS
An SEO championship, played like a match on television. 16 sites, one Friday night, a straight knockout: two of them on screen at a time with the same measurement side by side, the better number taking the point, and one champion by the end of the evening. You watch it happen instead of reading who won.
Two AI commentators call it as it lands: one on the play-by-play, one on the analysis, reacting to every number the moment it hits the screen, arguing over the gap and picking a favourite that lets them down.
HOW IT WORKS
Every site playing is measured the same way, on the same numbers, before anybody kicks off. A match is best of seven duels, first to four: a duel puts one measurement head to head with the same measurement from the other site, and the better number takes it. Identical numbers score for nobody. Which measurements come up is its own draw, so a strong site can meet exactly the ones it is weakest on and go out — which is why the bracket is worth watching rather than working out on paper.
Anybody can put a site in — your own, or one you would like to watch taken apart — and the crowd decides which of them actually play. Sites in the queue collect votes, and the ones at the top of it are next Friday's field.
WHY IT EXISTS
I've worked in SEO for years, and for most of them I've wanted to make something like this. Not another dashboard, not another guide — something you'd actually enjoy watching, that still leaves you knowing something. The numbers are the same ones everybody argues about. They just turn up as a result instead of a report.
I also run projecthq.pro, and the measurements are the same measurements — there they are a tool you point at your own site. This is what they look like as a sport.
I wanted to find out what AI can really do, too. The commentary was the first idea: a whole tournament called duel by duel, out of nothing but the numbers on screen. Making that work once, in a demo, is easy. I wanted to know if it holds up for a whole night — and the only way to find out is to run it.
And honestly: I've wanted to build something that looks like this for years. Dark, neon, an arena. I never had a project it fitted. A report about crawl budgets isn't it. A championship is.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
It will not tell you a site's traffic or revenue, or predict either. It does not rank the internet, and it is not an audit — a duel says which of two pages is better on one measurement at one moment, and nothing more.
